Why is Belly Fat Hard to Lose?
Belly Fat is hard to lose, but to start we need to understand how we gat fat in the first place. When your body gets energy in the form of food it acts a bit like it received a certain amount of stock in a warehouse.
It puts the stock on a forklift and hurries over to the fast moving goods to see if the stock can be used up immediately,
if not it goes and looks for a temporary storage area where the stock can be used up soon.
If this is full then it takes the stock way into the back and packs it out of the way so no one can really use it unless they go looking for it.
Glucose is the energy source of your body. Carbohydrates are turned into glucose for the body to use. When your body has converted food stores into glucose, the body wants to use it to power your body’s immediate needs.
If it has excess glucose, it combines it with water and stores it in your muscles and your liver. This is called glycogen and is only a temporary storage area; this energy is readily available for the body.

When these glycogen storage areas are full up and there is too much glucose in the blood supply, your body resigns itself to the fact that it needs to go into long term storage, so it starts converting this into fat and laying it down in your stomach, thighs and all over for a rainy day.
Insulin – the fat storing hormone
Glucose is super to use as fuel, the problem with it is that at high levels in your blood supply it’s very damaging to your body. This is where your body calls on Insulin to get it out of the bloodstream as fast as possible.
Insulin is a hormone produced in your pancreas and the higher your blood sugar is, the more insulin you produce. It skips the process detailed above and takes it immediately to your fat stores. It also causes a reaction in your body to immediately stop burning fat as fuel.
So the aim of the Lose Belly Fat Fast Interval Program is to reverse this:
- The nutrition tools will balance your blood sugar and ensure there is only enough glucose in your blood supply to fund your immediate needs and prevent insulin
- The interval training tools will use up the muscle glycogen and force your body to search its fat stores for energy to use.
